About

Who Is Jake Corvus?

Jake Corvus is a prolific writer living on gorgeous Sunshine Coast in Australia. Despite being in his mid-thirties, he is often mistaken for a teenager. He writes horror, sci fi & fantasy, with a special interest in queer and inclusive fiction. He watches too many horror movies to have any self-respect, and lives with an array of rescue animals, including shrimp, cats, dogs, guinea pigs and his son.

Jake's favourite dinosaur is the parasaurolophus.

Chrome Meat Bone

Cars roam the wilderness in herds, hunted by motorbikes and planes. Houses rot to reveal skeletal remains. The new generation of mankind has forgotten domestication. Bee has no children, and therefore no authority in the tribe. No power at all. Still, it is her job to assist with the hunt. To kill cars and keep the teenagers under her care alive. When the hunt goes horribly wrong, how does one woman, with no power, keep the next generation safe?

In a split second decision, Key shoots a civilian to spare him the agony of being eaten alive, but the resulting PR nightmare costs her her job. To make matters worse, the Wasp is still on the loose and the insanity is spreading.

The Bandershin

There’s a Bandershin in the dam behind the pump house, and Simon is certain it is the reason neighbourhood cats and dogs are disappearing. Or could that be the fault of John, the man next door, who is leaving the wine-colored bruises on his step-daughter’s back? Simon has enough to worry about, with his mother in a wheelchair and schoolwork, but the summer storms are coming and the monsters are drawing closer... and there is more than one kind of monster lurking in the dam.

Demon Lovers: Succubi

TSeductress, demon, or cursed being, the succubus wears many guises in this exciting new short story collection. Some of these tales are spicy and contain adult content, but this is not a collection of erotica. Rather, Demon Lovers: Succubi looks at the nature of the succubus and what it means to live by preying on humans, or to be the mortal a succubus has set her sights on.

Including Jake Corvus' Story 'Blood and Bone' as Talitha Kalago.

Category 5

In 2011 Category 5 tropical cyclone ‘Yasi’ ripped across far North Queensland, destroying homes and leaving thousands without power and water, cut off by washed out roads and deadly fallen powerlines. These are the tales born—not of the cyclone—but of the fevered imaginations of writers; isolated, unwashed and suffering in the tropical heat without our beloved air-conditioning.

Including Jake Corvus' Story 'The Bandershin' and the poem 'White' as Talitha Kalago.

Free Books!

"Hell yeah! Jake, Give Me Free Books!"

Okay, so the books aren't completely free. If you want free books, you have to join my review squad.

What is a review squad?

A review squad is a team of people who love an author's work and who want to support that author and see them succeed. They receive free copies of books and review them online, to help boost sales and spread the work about the books they love.

Reviews squads are mutually beneficial for authors and readers. Authors get reviews that drive sales and squads get free and early books from their favourite authors. Authors love their review squads and review squads love their authors.

So, do you want to join my review squad?

Shoot me an email at jakecorvus@gmail.com and I'll add you to the list.
